Friendly Reminder
Kia Ora Whānau,
A friendly reminder that we have Swimming Sports tomorrow.
ALL children will need the following:
- Togs and towel (+ Swimming cap if possible)
- School jersey/jacket as well as pants to put on in case they get cold in between events
- A packed lunch and drink bottle for water
- Sunhat
- We also advise that children apply sunscreen before coming to school in the morning as we will be in the outside area of the Makino. Sunscreen will be provided at the event also.
In case of bad weather, a decision will be made in the morning whether Swimming Sports will go ahead.
On another note, students have been exploring the Prodigy maths app. We have suggested that they download the app, to make it easier for them to load progress. However, this app is not compulsory.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Kia Ora mātua mā,
A decision has been made to sit the "Great Kiwi Science, English and Maths Competition", in place of the ICAS assessments. Therefore, students will no longer need to sit ICAS, so please disregard all ICAS entry forms.
Great Kiwi Entry forms and parent information have been sent home with the students today.
Please contact the school office for any future information that you may require...
Ngā mihi,
Kahurangi Pouako.

10 phrases you hear in resilient families: are you using them?
Michael Grose explains how children and adults in resilient families tune into each other’s needs, choosing situation-specific language, rather than simply regurgitating generalised ‘feel good’ or ‘get on with it’ platitudes.
