Final reminders for production tonight.
Kia Ora Koutou,
What a fantastic run through we had today! Production is looking amazing and we cannot wait to share the performance with you tonight.
Please remember that students need to be dropped off at the green door at the back of the theatre on King Street between 6:30 and 6:45 unless specifically asked to come earlier. A teacher will be there to let them in and direct them to their changing rooms. At this point can we ask parents to make their way to the front entrance as there will be no access to the theatre through the back entrance.
Students DO NOT need to wear their school uniform this evening. It is advisable that they bring named clothing, and a bag to place their clothes in while they are performing to avoid any mix ups with similar items.
All students, unless specifically told otherwise, are to come with foundation, eyeliner and a light coat of red lipstick (mascara optional). No eyeshadow. There will be a make up crew for the students who do not have these items at home. All Gnomes, apart from Kitchen Gnomes, can wear their hair down, and behind their ears. Kitchen Gnomes need to have their hair tied back to allow for their head scarves.
All students at the end of the evening, after the finale, will return to their dressing room to get changed. After this they will return to the stage with their gear, and wait to be released in POD's. The students from Tautoko and Haepapa will be released first due to Kahurangi being more senior. We appreciate your patience with this process. Students will be let go when we can see that a parent is there to collect them. Please make your way to the front of your stage and give your child's pouako a wave so we can release them.
We appreciate it will be a late night tonight, with production expected to run through until approximately 9.30pm. If you would like to bring your child in a little later tomorrow to allow them a sleep in, please notify the office in the morning. We will not be recording these requests tonight as it will be a busy time releasing students and ensuring they are catered for.
Finally, there will be a DVD of both the junior and senior production available for purchase - please keep an eye out in the newsletter for further details.
We are looking forward to seeing you all tonight. We are very proud of our Tamariki and their performances and we are sure you will be too!
Nga Mihi,
Kahurangi Pouako
